Lamar Valley, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA
The Lamar Valley is a beautiful area in the northeastern section of the park. Everyone says it’s a great place to see animals and it does turn out to be the case, even on one quick drive thru its a busy place with equal number of photographers to animals. The animals have slightly better manners but all and all every creature seems to get along well enough.
Dead buffalo along roadside, Grand Tetons National Park, USA
So what to say about this? As soon as you stop to photograph something like this other people feel they now need to do the same. Not a few minutes after I stopped I had people walking in front of my camera trying to take pictures before this buffalo got up and magically walked away. If nothing else it’s a record of how careless people get around here, on the other hand buffalo are dark and hard to see at night, anything can happen and I’m sure this happens more often then the casual visitor would imagine.

Poison dart frog, Costa Rica
With perfect timing off to Costa Rica for two weeks to photograph an article for American Airlines. White water rafting, zip lines, hiking, beaches and wonderful people not a bad way to avoid the Chicago winter.
